Chula Vista area offered seats in horticultural classes

Chula Vista's climate makes it possible to garden year round, and an area learning opportunity will help horticulturalists and urban farmers to take full advantage of its benefits.

The San Diego Seed Company recently announced that it has scheduled a workshop that will offer advanced instruction from subject matter experts. Two guest speakers will also address the group, and it can help the attendees make the most from their garden plots.

The goal of the activity is to help attendees learn how to become better garden planners, which will allow them to have a larger crop with fewer wasted plants. It may be helpful to anyone from the beginner to the experienced horticulturist, and it will provide tips and other advice for growing food successfully. The activity will be spread out over two days, the first of which will be held in the classroom. The second will be a farm day, and it will be held at a seed production farm located in Ramona.

Those who register for the event will receive a Master Class Package. They will be filled with information and Promotional Products, as well as a special binder to hold these informational materials. Seed packets will also be distributed, along with gear for starting them indoors.

San Diego Seed Company will be offering this in depth learning opportunity on Saturday and Sunday, September 21 and 22. The first day will be held at 610 Gateway Center Way, with the second set for the Seed Company’s seed production farm.
