Gardening gives people an opportunity to connect with nature, and a Chula Vista area workshop will help new starters hit the ground running.
According to its online listing, ASCENDtials’ popular Garden Workshop will be making its return, and it will open with a session in late January. This inaugural session will be focused on spring gardening chores, and admission is $5 per person.
Learners at each of the workshops will be taught how, when, and where to plant seeds, and the control of weeds and insect pests will be discussed as well. Soil improvements, plant selection, and general maintenance will also be reviewed so that the attendees can keep their plantings looking great throughout the season.
The classes will be led by the organization’s Garden Lead, and free seeds will be distributed. They will all take place at Sweetwater Summit Regional Park.
Gardening can be a fun and productive hobby, and more people are discovering this for themselves. Handouts for a workshop can be prepared by local Stationery printers, which can also supply printed seed packets and other relevant custom materials.
ASCENDtials has scheduled its first Garden Workshop for Saturday, January 27, and it will begin at 10:30 am. The venue can be found at 5354 Sweetwater Road in Bonita, and seats are still available at the time of writing.
