Chula Vista area hosting compost information session

A new curbside organics program has been instituted in the Chula Vista area, and those who would like to hit the ground running with the initiative have been invited to attend an information session.

The city of San Diego has set up a new recycling program, and it has scheduled an Organics Waste Recycling Workshop that will explore this initiative in depth. It will be taking place at the Allied Gardens Recreation Center, and it will be focused on area households.

During the seminar, the attendees will be taught how they can properly dispose of food scraps and other organic waste. There will be a discussion of what can be composted and what should be disposed of in other ways, and the goal is for everyone to walk away with a better understanding of the program and why it is important. To show the value of compost, everyone will receive a free bag for their own garden.

An information session gives the public an easy way to keep themselves informed about what is going on in their home community, Materials prepared by a brochure printing company are often distributed during these occasions.

The Allied Gardens Recreation Center has scheduled this in-person learning opportunity for Saturday, June 3. It will begin at 10:00 am, and it is free to participate.
