Many Chula Vista residents have a special talent or skill, and those who would like to share them with others have been invited to be a part of local festival.
San Diego’s Public Library has put out a call to area residents who would be interested in hosting a 20- or 45-minute long demo that includes hands-on learning. These will be set up at 20 library locations throughout the city, and community members will be sharing their talents on a volunteer basis.
The goal is for there to be demos for all ages and interests, and the past three years have shown that the ‘How-To’ Festival is a very popular event. Last year, there were workshops that taught everything from rolling sushi, to scarf tying, and even how to dance the jitterbug. It is billed as being, “from your community; for your community” and all of the workshops will be free to the public.
Since an event like this can offer lots of choices, it can be helpful to those who plan on attending to supply them with a full list of all the options and where they will be located. Stationery printers can provide items like these, along with T-Shirts for the volunteers, registration Forms, and many other products.
This celebration of the hidden talents that can be found right in the local area will be held on May 18. A full description of the individual events that will be on offer can be found on its website.
