Animal care event to proceed near Chula Vista

The Helen Woodward Animal Center will be hosting the Animal Care Camp close to Chula Vista next month.

As a local San Diego County organization, the Helen Woodward Animal Center has been active since 1972. Over the years, the organization has rescued thousands of homeless animals each year from many areas across the country, including from overcrowded animal shelters. The center also offers many animal-related services and programs, including animal boarding, veterinarian care, horse riding therapy, therapy dog visits to hospitals, and educational events such as the Animal Care Camp.

At the Animal Care Camp, children from Chula Vista will have the opportunity to practice hands-on care of several different types of animals under the guidance of professionals. When arranging similar educational gatherings, the hosts often make use of community printing services to distribute Copies of printed handouts to attendees that detail event protocols and information.

For safety purposes, all participants must pass an initial temperature check, maintain a distance of six feet between one another, wear masks, and use hand sanitizer between tasks throughout the duration of the event.

To attend this six-hour animal camp, admission for children between ages 9 and 17 is available at $200 per person.

The Animal Camp is scheduled to take place in San Diego on Sunday, March 14 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
