Library exhibit a big draw in Carlsbad
The exhibit ‘Drawn: West Coast Drawing’ will soon begin a seven-week run at the William D. Cannon Art Gallery, which is located in the Carlsbad City (Dove) Library.
This group exhibition is being hosted by the City of Carlsbad’s Cultural Arts Office and includes samples from 20 artists. West Coast Drawing is a collaborative of artists whose chosen media is drawing. The group was established in 2003 and consists of arts from the California coastal area.
The group celebrates the diversity and technical challenges of drawing, and offers support and inspiration to each other while exploring its evolving nature.
Several special events and programs are scheduled while the event is in Carlsbad, beginning with an opening reception at the gallery from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Saturday, June 27th. On August 1st, a Family Open Studios will be held in the courtyard of the gallery between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm with workspace and materials provided. Both of these are free to attend.
A large, eye-catching reminder provided by a banner printing service would go a long way in ensuring that those who would like to see the exhibit do not miss doing so.
‘Drawn: West Coast Drawing’ will be in Carlsbad as a free exhibition to the public from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm Tuesday through Saturday, and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sundays.
