Folk tunes have always enjoyed a prominent presence throughout the Carlsbad community. Those who are fans of this genre should be interested in an upcoming live concert slated to be held in August.
The San Diego Folk Heritage: Paleoverb Project Fundraiser was originally the brainchild of musician Jeff Berkeley. While visiting the Kansas Sternberg Museum of Natural History, he discovered an on-site room that offered excellent acoustic qualities. Mr. Berkeley was then granted permission to record an album within this environment. Titled the Paleoverb Project Volume 1, these recordings became immediate hits throughout the folk music community.
This upcoming concert is essentially the next iteration of the 2025 recordings. Known as the Paleoverb Project Volume 2, several musicians will be taking to the Carlsbad stage. These include Veronica May, Julia Sage, the King Taylor Project, and Lindsay White.
Live performances featuring a specific musical genre will often rely on highly efficient marketing techniques to accommodate a limited budget. Professional banner printing, posting advertisements on dedicated websites, and working in synergy with community radio stations are some of the ways in which organizers can reach the intended demographic.
The Paleoverb Project Fundraiser is set to debut in Carlsbad on Saturday, August 15th at 7:30 PM. This concert is being hosted by the Pilgrim United Church of Christ located at 2020 Chestnut Avenue. Tickets cost $25 per person.
