Legoland hotel set to open in Carlsbad
Carlsbad California will welcome the first LEGOLAND Hotel to North America in early April this year.
The hotel has been built for children of all ages and will create a fun-filled family experience. The general manager of the new hotel, Frank Idris, spoke of the search for a junior concierge, the creation of jobs in the area and annual additions. Idris has been involved with hotels over 20 years, including his last position as director of hotel operations for the J W Marriott Las Vegas Resort and Spa.
A contest has recently been launched, aimed at children aged 8 - 12 years old, looking for a Junior Concierge who is passionate about LEGO, has a sense of adventure and likes theme parks. The six winners will be fully trained and receive Hotel orientation so that a child’s perspective may be gained for the Junior Concierge. The winners will also be awarded a free weekend at the LEGOLAND California Resort, resort Hopper tickets, and products from the LEGO range.
The new LEGOLAND Hotel will have over 3,500 models made of LEGO in the hotel, along with interactive areas, a family theme park, an aquarium, and a water park.
LEGOLAND California will also receive a new attraction as LEGO Legends of Chima arrives, a movie experience in 4D. Although the kids are sure to be pestering mom and dad to take them to the new hotel, local brochure printers may be required to provide details, including the attractions.
The new hotel will open on April 5.
