The 2nd annual Surf N Paws Heat is taking place next month, presented by KIRA: K9 International Rescue Association, Lionel’s Legacy, and Synergy rescue hospice.
It is a fundraiser for Tsavo’s Canine Rehabilitation and Fitness, which caters to senior dogs and those with special needs. Visitors are welcome to bring their well-behaved and leashed canine companions.
There will be a day of activities, including raffles, a silent auction, and underwater photography. Those who wish to take part in doggy swimming are asked to bring a towel for their dog. Vendors from pet-related companies and organizations will be on hand to sell products or provide information.
Visitors can also enjoy vegan food, beer, and dessert while they enjoy live music and art exhibits. There will also be a draw for a $50 PetCo gift card.
The organizations that are presenting this event will likely have information booths set up for those who want to learn more about helping or even adopting dogs.
To help bring more people from the area, including Carlsbad, to events like this, local companies will often offer flyer printing services.
Surf N Paws Heat will be held at Tsavo’s Canine Rehabilitation and Fitness on August 21 from 12:00 to 3:00 PM. Admission is $15 in advance and $20 on the day. Visit the event website to learn more.
