Not-for-profit groups perform a vital service by filling holes in a community's social safety net, and a Carlsbad area event will soon be raising funds to help fight domestic violence.
Confronting Domestic Violence has set a late October date for its first gala signature event, and the monies raised through the celebration will help more families find a safe place to call home. The gathering will have an “Old Hollywood” theme, and will take inspiration from the elegance of days gone by.
The fundraiser will be held in late October, and is scheduled for Del Mar Social. While they enjoy the event, attendees will be showing domestic violence survivors that they have the full support of their community. Food and beverages will be served, and there will be entertainment and networking opportunities. Donations to the cause will also be welcome from anyone who cannot attend in person.
To help ensure the activity meets its fundraising goals, a sponsorship program is in place. This starts at the Contributor level at $2,000. Many organizers also appreciate the donation of Corporate Gifts in kind, as these may be used for raffle or door prizes.
This evening of enjoyment that will aid those fleeing domestic violence will see its doors open at 6:00 pm on Sunday, October 27. General admission tickets are $125 each.
