Carlsbad to prepare spring succulent baskets
The Flower Fields, a popular Carlsbad attraction, has an event on the way that will bring a piece of nature into the homes of those who take part.
The venue will be celebrating spring’s arrival with a planting workshop that will work with succulents. These fleshy leaved plants tend to be easy to care for, and everyone will go home with a mini garden they can proudly display and enjoy for years to come.
Tickets for the class include a moss-covered basket prepared with a plastic liner, and everyone will receive a set of healthy succulents to plant. Soil and planting tools will be provided, and step-by-step instructions and plant care tips will be shared. Admission to The Flower fields is also covered, and gift bags will be presented as well. It is for those who are age 10 and up only.
Taking part in potting classes provides a fun way for people to pick up a new gardening skill. Printed sheets of care tips and other materials can be crafted for a function by a printing services company.
