Carlsbad to host open-air film festival

The Leo Carillo Ranch is preparing to host an evening film festival in August. This event is intended to highlight many of the films associated with the Golden Age of Hollywood. Many titles starring Leo Carillo are expected to be screened.

Besides the movies set to be displayed, guests can enjoy several additional attractions. Tours of the Leo Ranch Hacienda are available, and on-site refreshments will be provided by a snack bar (at an additional price).

The show will begin at sunset with a screening of The Cisco Kid. Note that different evenings will showcase different main features (depending on the date). As this is an open-air festival, attendees should prepare accordingly visitors are encouraged to bring items such as blankets, jackets, lawn chairs, and flashlights.

The promoters of this year's film festival will likely use various methods to keep the public informed. Examples may include flyer printing, Banners, and Brochures. These will be displayed alongside other event-oriented information provided by the Carlsbad Parks & Recreation Department.

Note that two festivals will be taking place in the month of August. Visitors can make reservations for Friday, August 27th, or Friday, August 29th. All shows begin promptly at 5:30 PM.
