The Alta Vista Botanical Gardens gives the local community a place to escape and enjoy the natural world, and it will soon be hosting a Carlsbad area festival that celebrates the arrival of the autumn season.
For the past 11 years, the Fall Festival hosted by the Gardens has been a popular community gathering, and late 2020 will see it return for another year. Admission will be free, and games and other activities will be included.
The plans for the occasion are filled with a variety of ways for families to have fun, and one of these will be a scarecrow contest. All of the materials needed will be supplied, and this will be sponsored by an assortment of local community minded businesses. There will be food on offer as well, and a plant sale will give the crowd a chance to add to their own personal collection.
The Botanical Gardens will be open to visitors on the day of the festivities, and area vendors are welcome to submit a request to set up shop.
