North County is home to vibrant engineering and manufacturing sectors that employ over 55,000 people. At least 30 of these companies will be participating in an expo for local students, and Carlsbad scholars are sure to be among the crowd.
A selection of some of the top companies in the local area will be participating in this year’s San Diego North County Manufacturing Day, and it will give young people an opportunity to possibly discover their future career. Free to attend the function, there may still be room for additional exhibitors to get involved.
Any local businesses that take part in the event can unload their materials and set up their exhibits starting at 7:30 am on the day of the expo, and the doors will remain open for middle and high school scholars from 8:45 am until 2:00 pm. Students from California State University San Marcos will be stopping by between 11:30 am and 12:00 noon, and boxed lunched will be distributed to each of the exhibitors.
An event like this can give youth a chance to explore the world of manufacturing and related trades. Offering them information packages that provide details about what careers a company has can help to build the interest among the attendees, and these can be sourced from an area printing services company.
San Diego North Manufacturing Day is set to be held on October 1. It is being hosted by the San Diego North Economic Development Council at 333 S. Twin Oaks Valley Rd in San Marcos.
