Carlsbad set to tee off with active duty Marines
Carlsbad golfers who have been looking for an excuse to take to the green are encouraged to be part of a special day planned at Omni La Costa Resort and Spa.
Dubbed “Golf With a Hero”, this tournament will be a partnership between the venue and the United States Marine Corps. Each foursome will be made up of three golfers and one active duty Marine, and the proceeds will fund a variety of initiatives at Camp Pendleton.
The day is set to open at 9:00 am, and to make sure everyone can observe social distancing rules, the start times will be staggered. Both the use of a golf cart and food service is included in the registration fee, and even if they cannot participate in person, those who are interested can still help out by making a monetary donation. The suggested attire for the day is golf casual.
