A day of furry, four-legged fun is on the way for Carlsbad, and it will bring the community together in support of pets in need. Included in the celebration will be a special visitor all the way from the North Pole.
Hosted in the Village Faire Shopping Center courtyard, Pets on Parade gives local animal lovers a chance to strut their stuff while lending a hand to an area animal rescue. Pets can sit for a photo session with Santa – whether they fly, run, slither or even swim – and these will be taken by a photographic professional.
The morning will open with live music and a raffle, and the vendor alley will be open for business. A group photo of all the people and pets will be taken, and after this, they can all strut their stuff with Santa in the Pet Parade. Photo sessions can be booked ahead of the event, and there may be walk-in spots available as well.
The organizers of the function noted that special backdrops will be used for the professionally taken photos. Oversized items like these can be obtained from Print shops that offer wide format printing services.
This celebration of Carlsbad’s pets and the people who love them has been planned for Saturday, December 7. The proceeds will be donated to Wagging Dog Rescue.
