This Father’s Day, a Carlsbad venue will be offering the public a chance to sit in on some high-flying fun hosted by its resident raptors.
The Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation will be giving area raptors some time in the spotlight as part of an event that will welcome both newbie and experienced birders alike. The whole family may participate in this free morning of activities, and those who would like to get involved can choose to attend just part of the occasion or the entire function.
The day will open with a bird watching expedition led by a local subject matter expert, and once the group has made its way back to its starting point at the Discovery Center, the participants will be invited to take a seat for a presentation about hawks. This will include live birds, and a raptor care specialist will introduce the venue’s resident raptors.
Before they leave for home, the guests at the event will be able to paint a birdhouse in a make-and-take session. The schedule for the morning runs for two hours. A brochure printing company will be happy to prepare materials to give to those who take part in a learning activity like this so they can keep on making discoveries after it has wrapped up.
The Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation has made plans to introduce its flying hunters at its Raptor Watch event on June 18th. The bird walk will begin at 8:00 am.
