While many people would like to grow houseplants in their home, they may not know how to get started. A Carlsbad class may help them to give their budding green thumb a workout.
The Flower Fields, which is a local horticultural attraction, will be helping the public to add the beauty of plants to their home by hosting a succulent planting workshop. These plants tend to be easy to care for, and can provide an introduction to a variety of cultural practices for keeping plants healthy and happy.
This springtime activity runs on two dates and will see attendees create their own succulent arrangements’ The materials, including a moss-covered basket, will be supplied, and several species of succulents will be used, all with similar care requirements. Soil and tools will also be provided, and the participants can add a butterfly pick to their planting to add an extra touch of whimsy.
When they head for home, each attendee will receive a gift bag and care tips for their new green friends. Handouts, Promotional Products, and other materials for a class like this can all be crafted by area printers.
The team at The Lower Fields have made plans to offer this workshop on Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 14. Both start at 9:00 am at 5704 Paseo Del Norte.
