Carlsbad chamber to host cloud technology workshop
Thanks to the efforts of the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, members of the local business community have at least three workshops worth considering over the course of June, with two segments of “Lunch Bytes” as well as a presentation by the United States Department of Health and Human Services taking place.
The activity begins with the first Lunch Bytes event on June 15. In this one, business owners and professionals are being invited to come in and learn about the potential uses of technology in “Is Your Business in the Cloud?” which starts at 11:30 am and ends at around 1:30 pm. Those attending this meeting will have the option of doing so during lunch break. As most businesspeople are well aware, the Internet is becoming more than just a place for setting up websites. With the advent of social media, the need for digital business cards, and the increasing popularity of cloud technology, the potential business applications of new trends are always worth a second look.
A week later, on June 22, the United States Department of Health of Human Services will be putting on “Getting Back 2 Business.” Being held with the intention of showing small business owners how the Affordable Care Act can prove beneficial to them, presenters will also discuss the opportunities available to service providers looking to contract with the government. As such, attendees can benefit from this meet-up in multiple ways.
Another seven days after this, Lunch Bytes will be hosting another workshop on Office 2010. Where productivity is concerned, these “tips and tricks” are sure to be helpful.
