Carlsbad area to show some love to local moms
In honor of Mother's Day, the Carlsbad area will be showcasing its sweet side with a celebration set to treat foodies of all ages to a special experience.
The third annual Mother's Day is Sweet event will be held in Oceanside in early May. The three-hour activity will give its food service community a chance to shine, and there is a special ticket option available for families.
The participants will be invited to take a walking tour of the community's downtown core, and they can stop at the participating venues for a dessert sample or a craft beverage tasting. They will also be able to shop for mom at the various small businesses. To add even more fun, this will be the kick off for a mobile scavenger hunt, and anyone who participates may win a prize that showcases local establishments.
Sip-and-shops and other culinary-based activities encourage the public to get out and explore what their community’s small businesses have to offer them. Maps of participating venues, as well as promotional products to offer as swag, can be prepared by a local printer.
This salute to mom and all she does will be hitting the eateries in Oceanside’s downtown on Saturday, May 6. The check-in kiosk will be set up at 701 Mission Avenue. The scavenger hunt will run from May 6 to 14.
