It’s that time of year again. The O’Side Turkey Trot will soon be hitting the pavement, and runners from Carlsbad are welcome to be among the crowd that laces up their sneakers for this popular annual fundraiser.
This popular event is expected to draw participants from all across the country. Named by “Runner’s World Magazine” as one of the nation’s best trots, it will give the public a way to help their community while enjoying an activity with their friends, family, and people from all over the USA.
Those who are interested in taking part can choose to run or walk, and anyone who needs an assistive device such as a wheelchair is also welcome. There will be races for all ages, and to help make the day even more fun, costume contests, team prizes live entertainment have all been included in the plans for the run.
Every person who registers to participate in the activity will receive a T-shirt with the event’s Logo Design as well as free digital photos, finisher's medals and other swag. The planners of the activity noted that since it first started, the Turkey Trot has raised over $321,500 in contributions for not-for-profits and other charitable groups.
