A fun event in Show Low will take attendees centuries into the past.
The Medieval Mayhem Renaissance Faire is a popular event that pulls attendees into the adventures of the people of “Wyvernton Shire.” Apparently, the heirs to the shire may be found in Show Low, where they are torn between their duty to their land and going off on an adventure with pirates.
The Faire offers live music, entertainment, and vendors of all kinds. Food purveyors include Batchelor’s Pad BBQ, who will have gigantic turkey legs; Eddy D’s, who will serve shepherd’s pie, Cornish pasties, and mulligan stew; Adventurous Stills, with hand-crafted spirits; and Fairytale Coffee Co. Other vendors will have hand-crafted products like jewelry, chain mail, wooden carvings, perfume, and steampunk items.
Although the live entertainment is still being finalized, organizers have firm commitments from two entertainers – Scott Jeffers Traveler, and the Sonoran Dream Dancers. The former is based in Phoenix and is a violinist, singer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. He performs world music and is the leader of world fusion rock group Traveler.
Medieval Mayhem is a three-day festival taking place July 12 from 12.00 pm until 7.00 pm, July 13 from 10.00 am until 6.00 pm, and July 14 from 10.00 am until 5.00 pm. Jeffers and the Sonoran Dream will appear at a concert on July 13th at 7.00 pm. Organizers of events like this will often use poster printing to create colorful advertising for the occasion.
