Show Low area rockers to enter Lions Den

A rock and roll weekend is coming up in Pinetop, a short distance from Show Low.

The Lion’s Den Restaurant is hosting live music from Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers (RCPM), Drew Cooper, and The Cole Trains for one of their weekend shows. The musicians will be at the venue for the entire weekend, with RCPM headlining both Friday and Saturday, and the supporting acts performing as well, giving everyone plenty of time to enjoy the performances and have fun.

RCPM is based in Tempe, and its current lineup is Roger Clyne, Nick Scropos, Jim Dalton, and PH Naffah. Clyne blends influences of mariachi, country-Western, and punk rock into straight-ahead rock and roll.

Drew Cooper has been compared to Teddy Pendergrass and Motown soul, with a bit of hard rock spice.

The Cole Trains are a rock/country band from Safford, Arizona. They are involved in supporting community members with special needs.

RCPM will host the Borracho Sunday “dog pile,” where all three bands will jam, doing a deep dive into each catalog, performing covers of songs from other bands, and whatever else they can think of. Tickets for the Sunday free-for-all are limited.

The Lion’s Den Weekend is next Friday to Sunday, August 4, 5, and 6. The Friday and Saturday doors open at 5:00 pm, and on Sunday, the doors open at 10:00 am. Organizers of events like this can use poster printing to create advertising that wows music fans.
