Fundraising fun in Show Low

An upcoming event in Show Low will raise funds to support the fire service and an organization that helps veterans.

The First Annual White Mountain Festival of the Trees will celebrate the holiday season and help both The Fishers of Men Veterans Ministry and the Vernon Fire Department. The most exciting part of the event is probably the Christmas trees, which are sponsored by local businesses. The organization that sponsors a tree can decorate it as they like, following the theme for this year, “Home for the Holidays.” They are also asked to put gifts worth a minimum of $100 beneath their tree. People who attend the event can buy tickets in advance, which include raffle tickets worth $20.

Funds raised by the event will assist the Vernon Fire Department in purchasing the equipment necessary for winter rescues, and it will help support the Fishers of Men Ministry, who help support veterans.

The MC for the event is Jineane Ford, who is a host on White Mountain Radio. Tickets are priced at $65, including a fashion show by Sweet Home AZ Boutique, lunch by The Show Low Elks Lodge, Midnight Moon providing Christmas music, and more.

The Festival will be held on Saturday, December 9 at the Elks Lodge. Doors open at 10.00am for people to see the trees, and the event itself will begin at 11.00am. Events like this can be promoted successfully when organizers use poster printing to create advertising.
