An event coming up in Show Low will bring out all the knights, maidens, troubadours, and jesters in the kingdom.
The Medieval Mayhem Renaissance Faire brings performers and vendors together to give attendees a taste and glimpse of life during the renaissance. Among those who will be performing are Realms of History, who demonstrate various Forms of combat, including fencing and armored combat with steel weapons; musician Scott Jeffers Traveler, a multi-instrumentalist who plays the lutar, guitar, bouzouki, oud, and violin, and who is the lead performer of Traveler, a rock band.
Vendors include the Crafty Sisters, who will bring feather hair clips, sugar scrubs, soaps, faery houses, jewelry, and other magical items to the Faire. Glitter tattoos, henna, and face painting will be done by Dancing Dolphins Art, and shoppers looking for leather goods including belts, pouches, waist cinchers, and more should plan on stopping at Magic Voodoo. Food trucks will also be on hand for people who get hungry. Organizers of events like this may choose to use flyer printing to create handouts listing performers and vendors.
The Faire runs for three days on July 7, 8, and 9, at Frontier Field Park in downtown Show Low. The hours are July 7, from 10.00am until 6.00pm, and July 8 from 10.00am until 6.00pm. There will be a concert on the 8th from 7.00pm until 9.30pm, with the performers still to be announced. Hours on the 9th are from 10.00am until 5.00pm.
