Aronov Realty Management recently announced that Whole Foods Market will be coming to Chase Corner, at the intersection of Taylor Road and Interstate 85 in Montgomery, with a new 40,000 square foot store. Work has begun on the site and has a completion date of 2016.
It will be the natural and organic food retailer’s first location in central Alabama, and will create 175 jobs for the city. Companies providing digital business card printing services are likely to benefit from the influx of new employees who will need this type of service.
Omar Gaye, President of Whole Foods Market South Region, commented that there is a great deal of excitement in bringing this new shopping experience to the people of Montgomery by offering healthy and fresh food items with no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. This is the company’s third store in Alabama, with the first being in Birmingham and the second under construction in Huntsville.
Todd Strange, mayor of Montgomery, expressed his pleasure that Whole Foods chose to locate in the community and congratulated Aronov on its ability to recruit the company. Describing Whole Foods as “one of the country's premier retailers”, he added that it will add job and generate tax revenue for the city.
President of Aronov Realty Management, Owen Aronov, also said he was “thrilled” about Whole Foods’ decision to enter the Montgomery market.
