Montgomery County will have its own version of America’s Got Talent this month.
Montgomery County Performing Arts Society will be presenting its annual Montgomery County’s Got Talent competition. Its 2017 contest is coming up the middle of January, and the top three winners will receive cash prizes.
Each act will be no longer than three minutes and may be in fields like dance, juggling, art/painting, jump rope, musical performances, dramatic presentations, stand-up comedy, gymnastics, poetry, and interpretative literature. Musical performances must have two musical selections ready for performing.

Somewhere between 10 and 15 candidates aged 10 or older will perform before a live audience at a local theater. Five of these performances will be selected to perform for judges, who will decide the top three winners. First place will receive $500, second place will get $300, and third place will get $150.
The final night of competition will be January 13, 2017 at the Crighton Theater, 234 N. Main Street, in Downtown Conroe. Performances are slated to begin at 7:30 pm. Audition fee will be $20 per act and adult admission to the final night of competition will also be $20. Student fees will be $15.
