The River Region Comic-Con is an annual two-day community event for anyone who enjoys, comics, pop-culture, and gaming, and it’s now less than a month away.
Visitors to the comic con will see the latest in geek culture, can take part in gaming competitions, and get to meet the professionals working in the comic industry. The guests this year include voice actors and comic creators. One of the big names in attendance is David Yost, better known as the Blue Ranger to Power Ranger fans.
Guests can join the cosplay contest for fun prizes and visit the vendor booths to browse the Promotional Products and materials displayed by the artists. Arcades will be open during the event, as well as silent auctions and panels. Artists can also have their portfolios reviewed by an industry professional.
A two-day pass for adults is $25, or $15 for children ages 5-12. Children under 5 get in free. Military, first responders, and students with an ID get a two-day pass for $20. Tickets can be purchased online (bringing a receipt is requested) at the Comic-Con website or bought at the door.
The River Region Comic-Con is on March 16 from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm and March 17 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. The event will take place at the Multiplex at Cramton Bowl at 220 Hall Street in Montgomery.
