Montgomery children to spend a day with local police officers

A fun day of activities is planned for the Montgomery Kids and Kops Day 2017.

Police officers are often the heroes young children admire most, and the opportunity to spend the day having fun with these public servants will be a dream come true for many children. The event is a collective effort from SAYNO Inc., the city of Montgomery, and the Montgomery County Commission. It will include family fun like interactive games, free food, and plenty of exhibits.

Entertainment during the event will include police dog demonstrations, motorcycle demos, and much more. Kids can earn prizes and meet a variety of local police officers. The event lasts all day and will provide many photo opportunities for parents looking for the perfect image for their Holiday Cards.

Since 1992 the Kids and Kops Day has been a popular annual event that helps to create a connection between law enforcement and the community. The group SAYNO is a nonprofit founded in 1988 and headquartered in Montgomery that encourages children to make healthy choices for their lives.

The festivities will take place at the Montgomery Multiplex at Cramton Bowl at 1022 Madison Avenue in Montgomery on Saturday, October 21. Admission to the event is free, as is the food and entertainment. There will be activities inside and outside at the venue.
