Ghost tours through historic districts are common during the Halloween season. One Montgomery business has developed a way to add an extra touch of the macabre to their untypical evening ghost tour.
The Haunted Hearse Tours uses a real hearse to chauffeur its guests down the darkened city streets. The tales tell the true tales of previous residents that are often left out of history Books and tourist guides.
It spares none of the gory details of each of the historic and nightmarish tales told during the tour. Guests are given comfortable seats in the back of the hearse, notable for having once been where the dead were placed on their final journey.
The tour company could benefit additionally by providing ghoulishly detailed Booklets of each of the tragic tales. Guests could scare themselves again at home with these souvenirs as they anticipate their next dark ride, and look out for poster printing in the area should the event come around again next year.
The tours depart from The Alley every evening in October beginning at 7:00 pm. A new tour starts every hour with the last ride departing at midnight. Reservations are available, but Haunted Hearse Tours warns that the stories and atmosphere may be too unsettling for children or the faint of heart.
