Event planned for Montgomery art enthusiasts

The Cloverdale-Idlewild Art Trail is an opportunity for everyone to see and buy the works of local artists.

This two-day event encourages everyone to come out and explore six art studios in the Cloverdale and Idlewild neighborhood. The studios will open their doors for guests that want to explore the studios through self-guided tours. The studios will display various artforms including paintings, photographs, handcrafted jewelry, and pottery.

It is the third year of this popular event, and the highlighted artists will include favorites from previous years, as well as new members eager to share their artwork and Business Cards with all. The studios are within walking distance of each other and the event is a community activity where all are welcome.

Included in the event is the Kinzer family Tea Tent where attendees can drop off donations of cash or non-perishable foods for the Montgomery Foodbank. Trade the cash and food donations at the tent for coffee, or tea and baked goods. All proceeds raised from raffled artworks, donated by the artists, will also benefit the food bank.

The Art Trail is open on December 1 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and December 2 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. This is a free event for all ages and takes place at the Cloverdale Idlewild Neighborhood at 3010 Cloverdale Road in Montgomery.
