Welsh-language band fix Newport date
Carmarthen band Adwaith, and support bands Silent Forum, Clwb Fuzz and SYBS, will rock Newport at the end of November.
The all-female post-punk outfit from Carmarthen, South Wales consists of Hollie, Gwenllian, and Heledd, Their debut single "Pwysau" was released in 2016, and building on this success they released a further six singles over the next few years.
All of this material gained critical acclaim and airplay on BBC Radio Wales and other stations. The band, who sing mostly in their native Welsh, subsequently recorded a special radio session at the BBC's Maida Vale Studios and performed their set at the FOCUS Wales festival as a live broadcast. They also appeared on the summer festival circuit, most notably at the Latitude Festival.
Upon the release of their acclaimed debut album "Melyn" in 2018, Louder than War described it as "one of the best debut albums of any band in recent memory". This gig will no doubt appeal to those with a keen interest in new music, in particular new Welsh music, and what it has to offer.
