An acclaimed events centre in Newport is set to hold a two-day extravaganza dedicated to comic Books, costume roleplay, cult TV shows and more.
The city is welcoming the return of Comic Con Wales this summer. Respected as one of the biggest fan conventions in the UK, the well-attended event unites people from across the country and beyond to celebrate the cream of pop culture. It covers comics, graphic novels, film, television, video games, cosplay, anime and more.
The 2026 incarnation of the event has announced special guests who will be available for meet and greets, photo opportunities and autographs. These include Michael Bien (Terminator and Aliens) Emily Swallow (The Mandalorian), Edward James Olmos (Miami Vice, Bladerunner and Battlestar Galactica), Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers) and Tony Robinson (Blackadder), among many others.
Organisers of fan events often connect with the agents of celebrities they want to attend using branded correspondence materials from Stationery printers to make a professional impression.
An exhibitor area will allow collectors to pick up a wide range of memorabilia, action figures, prints, scale models, clothing and more. An artist’s gallery will also be set up showcasing the work of comic book creators, and competitions will run to award the best costumed conventiongoers.
