The indie band Coach Party is on tour and due to play a gig, supported by Girl Scout, in Newport at the beginning of February.
This four-piece outfit from the Isle of Wight has only relatively recently arrived on the scene. They are signed to the London-based Chess Club label, one renowned for identifying and cultivating new talents such as Wolf Alice and Jungle.
Coach Party itself consists of Jessica Eastwood on vocals and bass, Stephanie Norris and Joe Perry on guitars with Guy Page on drums. The band's music has been mainly influenced by artists such as Nirvana, The Strokes and Tame Impala.
Jessica and Steph are the primary songwriters. Their relationship-inspired lyrics exhibit a strong wit combined with arrangements that are both experimental and confident, born of original ideas.
Coach Party have released three EPs up to the present – Party Food (2020), After The Party (2021) and Nothing Is Real (2022). These include the popular singles Breakdown, Space, FLAG (Feel Like a Girl) and the latest single release Weird Me Out.
The band continues to live and work on the Isle of Wight, where Guy has his own recording studio.
Tickets cost £13.20 inclusive of a booking fee. It can be worth considering Promotional Products when endeavouring to publicise a future concert or musical event like this.
