Music group Super Marine, which hails from Blackwood in South Wales, is due to play a gig in Newport this summer.
This four-piece rock outfit features Rhys Davis on vocals, Sophie Bryan on bass, Matt Davies on guitar and Jay Price on drums. The group’s distinctive sound is a blend of guitar-based melody, lyrical hooks and forceful rhythms.
Super Marine was formed in the summer of 2019, and it made an almost immediate impact. This successful start to a now ascendant musical career was achieved by touring its high energy live across the UK. It included sell-out gigs in South Wales at Cardiff's 10 Feet Tall, Newport's Le Pub and the Blackwood Miners Institute.
The group subsequently received considerable UK radio and worldwide airplay and won a nomination for Best Group at last year's Cardiff Music Awards. Super Marine has now established itself as a regular act on the UK circuit. The band has only a few songs online, but many people believe it could become a big hit.
Tickets cost £5.50, inclusive of booking fee and support act, with only those aged 16 and over permitted to attend. Graphic design can play an important part in developing the image of a band like this.
The Super Marine gig has a starting time of 7.30 pm, and it will take place on Saturday, 3rd July at Le Pub, Newport.
