The eclectic pop-punk band Yur Mum is on tour and due to play a gig in Newport towards the end of June.
This London-based Brazilian duo consists of vocalist/bass player Analise Kunz and drummer Fabio Couto. They arrived on the music scene in 2016 with their distinctive fusion of grunge, punk and rock beats combined with native Brazilian sounds.
The band has since played numerous shows in the Americas and Europe, in venues both large and small. This includes giving more than 100 live performances around the UK and in countries such as Austria, France and Hungary.
Yur Mum has also shared stages with a wide variety of contemporary artists. These range from DIY outfits like Maid of Ace and Healthy Junkies to musical heavyweights, notably The New Model Army, The Vibrators and UK Subs.
In 2021, the duo was signed by Chapter 22 Records, which already had Dawn After Dark on its Books, for the release of their debut album 'Tropical Fuzz'.
The support on the bill, on this occasion, is provided by Pizzatramp and Penny Rich.
