A free festival-like event will return to run in Newport this spring featuring multiple live music acts and local venues.
Music enthusiasts in Newport have a major event to look forward to in 2026. Titled the “Newport Music Trail” the extravaganza promises a festival-like experience free of charge and highlights the musical talents of local and Welsh artists. For locations, it has partnered with several established venues in the city including pubs, clubs and even a cathedral.
Organisers of music events sometimes showcase the official Logo Design of venues, sponsors and other partners on marketing materials like Posters, Flyers and Banners.
After proving a huge success in 2025 the springtime event is the second edition of the music trail to date.
Those coming down to the 12 days of festivities can move between different venues where bands and solo artists like they would at festivals with various stages. Confirmed headline acts like Goldie Lookin Chain, Georgia Ruth, Melin Melyn, Afro Cluster, HMS Morris, Source, Yns and Mari Mathias among others. Joining them are over 30 bands including The Oldfield Brothers and Bad Sam.
The Newport Music Trail will now run from Friday, March 17 to Saturday, March 28. Gigs will be taking place at assorted addresses in the city like the Corn Exchange, The Riverfront, St Woolos’ Cathedral, Le Pub, The Circle, McCanns and The Cab.
