The alternative rock band, The Young Hearts plus support, is on tour and due to play a gig in Newport at the beginning of February.
This Kent-based foursome got together in 2013 in the aftermath of the break-up of Promise Me Tomorrow, a modestly popular South East pop-punk group. Their musical influences include Brand New to The Gaslight Anthem, The Menzingers, Bruce Springsteen and Jimmy Eat World.
The band's first album, 'The Modern State', was released in 2021 and officially playlisted by Spotify, Apple, Deezer, Amazon Music and YouTube Music. They have toured with Mallory Knox, Junior and Can't Swim, among others.
Garnering much media attention from Alt Press, Total Rock Radio, BBC, Kerrang, 89FM and BTTV, The Young Hearts released their latest single 'Hit The Ground Running' last November with 'Somewhere Through The Night', their next album, coming out on 1st December under Year Of The Rat Records.
The support in this instance is provided by indie-punk band The Lonely Surf, whose new single 'Happiness' was released on 15th December.
