The festive concert ‘Christmas at the Musicals’ is due to be held in Newport at the beginning of December.
This show treats well-known seasonal classic songs to a West End makeover. It features a line-up of successful stage stars, while the host of the event is Connie Fisher from BBC Wales, who played Matia in the Sound of Music.
Those amongst the artists appearing include Craig Gallivan from Sky's One's Stella and Frozen as well the stars of Welsh of the West End, noted for their much-celebrated performances on the ITV show Britain's Got Talent.
Welsh of the West End consists of Steffan Hughes, from ‘Only Men Aloud’, ‘Les Miserables’ star Mared Williams, Siwan Henderson from S4C's ‘Poybo y Cwm’, as well as Rom Hier and Joseph and Celyn Cartwright, from ‘Lord of the Dance’.
This cast joins with The Novella Orchestra, whose conductor is David Mahoney, and which is widely recognised as one of the UK's pre-eminent show orchestras.
They will be performing songs such as Santa Baby, All That Jazz, Sleigh Ride, White Christmas, Don't Rain on My Parade, combining big band, swing, epic gospel and musical theatre in this festive concert.
Tickets range in price from £22.50 to £37.50, and a booking fee applies. Graphic design plays an important role when it comes to staging a show or theatrical production.
Christmas at the Musicals has a starting time of 8pm on Saturday 10th December at The ICC Theatre, Newport.
