The American singer/songwriter Mike Borgia is on tour, supported by Tom Jenkins and Lowmen, and is due to give a show in Newport in mid-November.
He has been an active musician and performer for more than 20 years. A native of New York, his youth was spent in clubs playing the guitar and providing backup vocals in a heavy metal band.
Mike's style developed from the post-hardcore, indie punk scene. The 1990s saw him take on the role of frontman for the successful indie rock outfit Thread. This association lasted for just over a decade.
In 2001 he went solo and, over the next ten years, conducted several UK tours whilst going on to release nine records. These tours won him a solid fanbase, which helped to ensure the longevity of his career. In 2011 Mike established a band called The Problems in New York, releasing 2 albums and 2 EPs, as well as a number of singles.
He continues to bring out records but now primarily focuses on writing, recording, and performing songs. His solo performances are similar in aesthetic to both Chris Cornell and Dallas Green.
Tickets cost £11 inclusive of a booking fee. The value of Print shops should not be underestimated when it comes to preparing for a concert or musical event.
Mike Borgia's gig has a starting time of 7:30pm on Wednesday, November 16 at Le Public Space, Newport.Get a Free Quote for Print
