The indie folk group, The Rabbitts, is on tour and due to play a gig in Newport at the end of March.
This Norwich-based duo prefer the acoustic approach and are always eager to experiment. They have developed their own distinctive sound, which consists of original harmonies, characteristic guitar fingerstyles, dream-like mandolins and complex yet forceful rhythms.
The group, seeking a change of scene, moved to Canada in 2016 to record the single 'Avocado Ginger Tree'. 2018 saw them release their first album 'Tall Pines and Tangled Vines', following it up with a cross-country tour, prior to returning to the UK to participate in the live music circuit.
The Rabbitts gained prominence on BBC Radio 6 Music, and appeared on the list of BBC Radio Cambridge Folk Show's 2021 'Best Of'. They have achieved more than 350,000 Spotify streams up to the present.
In May last year, the group's second album release 'Love' came out, and what inspired it can be easily deduced from the title. That said it was also heavily influenced by their engagement with nature and society in general.
The support on this occasion is provided by Generation Feral.
