Comedian, Mike Bubbins, who is on tour with his new show 'Throwback', is due to play a gig in Newport towards the end of March.
The forner PE teacher is best known for television comedies on the BBC such as 'Mammoth' 'The Unexplainers' and 'Tourist Trap'. He also presents a podcast 'The Socially Distant Sports Bar' and has made regular appearances on BBC Radio Wales.
Mike acted as support for Rhod Gilbert on his successful national tour and delivered his own show, both written and performed by himself, at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He also headlines regularly, at many of the leading theatres and comedy clubs up and down the UK.
His style of humour combines sharp observation with exasperation. 'Throwback' is his debut solo UK stand-up tour and consists of one and a half hours of funny stories, characterisations and possibly even a song. In it, Bubbins gives a very personal take on the world, commenting on everything from being irritated by people to having a laugh at the expense of life itself.
