A special opening evening at a museum in Warrington will soon launch two new exhibitions featuring the works of two artists.
Art enthusiasts in the area will not want to miss an event happening in town this summer. A launch party is taking place that offers free admission to all and showcases art from local creatives Angela Gould and Mark Bradley through two individual exhibitions.
Professional artists often rely on specialist business card printing services for calling cards they can pass to potential clients and contacts when seeking commissions or a chance to exhibit.
Featuring cross-stitch tapestries sewn by hand, “From The Sea View” includes the painstaking art of Gould, a former mathematician. The exhibition highlight is a piece that took five years to complete, capturing the Cornish Coast from memory. The work was mostly finished during the pandemic while Gould was in isolation, and it was selected for the respected 2024 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
A collection of paintings called “What Is This Hubbub?” from Bradley will also be exhibited that depict emotion, conflict and human behaviour. Presented in expressionistic brushstrokes, they are said to create a charged visual language.
The exhibition opening will take place at Warrington Museum & Art Gallery on Saturday, June 20. The event starts at 4.30 pm and the venue is situated on Bold Street in Warrington’s Cultural Quarter.
Light refreshments and drinks will be served.
