What's Happening in Warrington, England…

A-Level results revealed in Warrington

Students in Warrington were celebrating recently after receiving some impressive A-Level results.

The summer has been one of anticipation for the students who have spent many weeks gingerly awaiting the news of whether or not they'd made the grade in their exams.

The overall pass rate for the Warrington region was 98.1 percent, topping the national average and giving many students in the area the opportunity to either seek employment and start their careers or continue their educational journeys at top universities in the North West and across the country.

Universities are often keen to recruit those whose grades are above average and tend to use prospectuses and brochures to tempt students to sign up for courses. It is important, however, that these materials are made engaging and enticing – something which many establishments achieve by working with professional brochure printers.

Warrington Council's executive board member for young people's services, Councillor Froggatt, commented on the academic success, saying:

“This is the result of years of hard work with support from friends, families and the excellent staff we have in Warrington’s schools and colleges."

Adding to this, Chris Kraft, an education expert, commented on speculation that A-Levels might be getting easier, saying:

“Two successive years of declining levels of A and A* grades being awarded should quash any talk of A-Levels being dumbed down. It’s tough at the top, and always has been."

Full details of pass rates and grades for Warrington students have been made available in the local press.
