West London film studio supplies hospital sets

A new motion picture has used medical sets at a film studio in West London.

A newly released film entitled The Father, has filmed many of its important hospital scenes using the state-of-the-art facilities based at West London Film Studios in Hayes Hillingdon. The studios based on Hayes’s Springfield Road comprise 105,000 square feet of studio space, including six individual sound stages and offices for the use of both film and television production companies.

Professional poster printing services can provide able support to those promoting upcoming films, attracting attendance from local audiences. The Father is a drama with a cast led by Sir Anthony Hopkins in the role of a man suffering from dementia while his daughter, played by Olivia Colman, struggles to cope with his deteriorating condition. Several of the film’s scenes required authentic sets representing hospitals and healthcare facilities, which were options the Hayes film studio was able to supply.

The studio has a specially designed area built for use as medical locations, and this has been employed in popular BBC television shows like Luther and Silent Witness. However, the studio was not the only West London location used in the film; the exterior of the labyrinthine Blythe House on Blythe Road in West Kensington, recently used in Netflix drama The Crown, also featured in multiple shots.
