A Hayes venue will host a band showcasing a wide range of styles.
Big Al & the Blistering Buicks are set to entertain attendees at a free upcoming event. Led by frontman Big Al Reed, an international comedian and musician, the band will play a diverse selection of music genres including reggae, rock and soul from the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s.
Playing classic cover versions including “Shaking All Over”, “Dancing in the Dark” and “Peter Gunn”, the Blistering Buicks are a six-piece band. While Big Al handles vocals, guitar and saxophone, Keith Abingdon, also known as “Smoke”, plays guitar. Ian Salisbury is on piano and keyboard duties, while David Atkinson on drums and bassist Dave Jenkings will provide back-up harmonies. The guest guitarist for the evening event is Roly, who also sings.
Live musical acts playing local venues can use flyer printing services to create eye-catching leaflets they can distribute to audiences advertising their future shows. Based locally in Uxbridge, the band described themselves as “one of the most versatile on the circuit” adding, “We don’t just sing and play, we entertain.”
Big Al & the Blistering Buicks will play Hayes Working Men’s Club on Pump Lane, close to Hayes and Harlington Station, on Saturday, December 19. The concert begins at 8:30 pm and ends shortly before midnight, with free admission to all.
