A Hayes theatre is set to host a classic play by Shakespeare.
The Praxis Theatre will be putting on a performance of William Shakespeare’s play Henry V in the new year. Directed by Uxbridge College’s Robert Lane, the upcoming show represents a unique interpretation on the well-known historical tale.
Estimated to have been written in 1599, Shakespeare’s play recounts the story of England’s King Henry V focusing on the events both before and after the Battle of Agincourt, where England defeated France. Henry V completes the playwright’s tetralogy of plays that also features Richard III, Henry IV. Part 1 and Henry IV, Part 2.
Theatre companies can sometimes benefit from flyer printing services to create eye-catching leaflets that invite members of the public to attend their latest shows.
This is not the first time the Praxis Theatre team has turned its hand to Shakespeare successfully. With acclaimed performances of both Hamlet and Twelfth Night already to their credit, 2019 saw the team performed a double bill that included both Macbeth and Taming of the Shrew. The back-to-back performances were broadcast online and reached an audience of more than 7,000 people.
Henry V will take place on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 5:00 pm in the Praxis Theatre in Uxbridge College on Coldharbour Lane in Hayes. Tickets for the play are charged at £10 per person, with half-price concessions also available.
