Louise Wyatt, the author of ‘Secret Hayes’, shall sign Books in Botwell Green Library.
Secret Hayes has only just been published, and the text discusses the local history of the town. Poster printing in Hayes can be used to showcase various events. Hayes has had a fascinating past. Eric Blair, commonly known by the pseudonym George Orwell, once lived in the neighbourhood. The British music company EMI was located in the area.
Hayes used to be five different villages. The history of the area can be traced back for hundreds of years. Yeading, Wood End, Hayes Town, Botwell and Hayes End gradually merged together. During the course of the 1960s, Hayes was incorporated into the borough of Hillingdon.
Louise Wyatt grew up in Hayes. As a youngster, she won a variety of literary competitions. However, despite her success with poetry and prose she decided to train as a nurse after her family had grown up. Nevertheless, she never stopped writing for fun. Wyatt will discuss Hayes and her work at the special event in early March.
Secret Hayes includes dozens of illustrations of the area so it should be ideal for nostalgic people who have lived in the vicinity for some years. It can be purchased for £14.99 in the paperback format. It has been made accessible to readers via Kindle or iBook also.Get a Free Quote for Books
