What's Happening in Uxbridge, England…

Kids classic coming to Hayes

A Hayes venue will soon present a beloved children’s story on stage that was penned by an author better known for his British superspy.

The Beck Theatre in Hayes has announced it will be showing a production of Ian Fleming’s Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The upcoming performance is part of its Beck Youth Theatre initiative. From national concert halls to local theatres and arts hubs, venues often seek assistance from poster printing services to advertise their upcoming shows to the public.

Just in time for Easter, the musical is designed for audience members of all ages and is packed with music, magic, and mayhem. Among the world’s most loved musicals, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang tells the tale of Caractus Potts, the eccentric inventor who joins Truly Scrumptious to rescue his children from the wicked Child-Catcher in his famous flying car.

Adapted for the Stage by Jeremy Sams, the musical is based on the original 1968 motion picture from MGM with a script adapted by writer Ray Roderick and music by Robert B. Sherman and Richard M. Sherman. Songs featured include “Hushabye Mountain”, “Toot Sweets”, and the hit song “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang will be performed live on stage on Friday, April 14 and Saturday, April 15 at the Beck Theatre located on Grange Road in Hayes. Tickets are available priced from £18 to £21.
