Hayes & Yeading United come back home

After a few years elsewhere, Hayes & Yeading United Football Club has returned to its home borough.

The club moved away from Church Road in Hayes five years ago after the team engaged in a partnership with Woking which involved sharing a ground. The club is now located in a community stadium at Beaconsfield Road.

The move to the SkyEx Community Stadium may lead to an increase in the need for banner printers in Hayes as fans and club officials may want to show their support in this way.

A statement from the club was recently reported in Get West London:

“Whilst there still remains a lot of work to do at the ground, Hayes & Yeading United are delighted to announce that permission has been granted by the local authority to play our friendly against Hendon.”

Chairman Tony O’Driscoll and other directors of the club received praise for getting the team back within the borough from which it had relocated. However, there has not been complete clarity about the schedule of games which will go ahead in the season to come.

Nevertheless, Southern League fixtures will start in mid-August. As a result, further details about home matches should be announced in the near future. The date of Hayes & Yeading United’s fixture against Frome Town has already been announced, but this is an away fixture.
